This page lists how many home purchases in Pennsylvania, and in the United States in total, were made from July through September 2026 with a mortgage guaranteed through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. It gives both figures exactly as the publisher reported them, explains what the count covers and what it leaves out, and links to the source.

The count, July through September 2026
The figures come from the quarterly loan volume by state report of the agency's Loan Guaranty Service, for the fourth quarter of the federal fiscal year 2026, which ran from July through September 2026. This page uses the purchase column only.
- · Pennsylvania: 2,066 home-purchase mortgages
- · United States, total including territories: 99,719 home-purchase mortgages

What this count covers
Each figure counts home-purchase mortgages guaranteed through the agency during the quarter: in Pennsylvania, and in total. The total is the publisher's own grand total. It adds up every row in the publisher's file, which lists U.S. territories alongside the states, so this page labels it "including territories".
Pennsylvania's count is shown here beside that total and never beside another state's count. A count depends on the size of a place, so setting one state's count next to another's would say little.
This page describes a count, not the program behind it. The agency's own pages explain how its guaranty works and who may use it.
What the count leaves out
The count covers home purchases only. The same report lists refinances in separate columns, and this page uses the purchase column alone.
It is also not the number of all home purchases. Mortgages without this agency's guaranty are not in it, and neither are homes bought with cash. It is a count of mortgages, not dollars, so it says nothing about the price of the homes or the size of the mortgages.
Each figure covers one quarter, and quarters are never added together here.
When the figures came out
The publisher does not post a release calendar for this report, and the file carries no release date of its own. The release date given on this page is the day the quarter's file was posted on the publisher's site, Oct 9, 2026, which is also the day its page shows as last updated. The report for the following quarter, October through December, had not been posted when this page was written. Once it is, the figures on this page describe an earlier quarter.
